4th July at Christopher’s

Being born and raised in Hong Kong, I’ve never really been much involved in the politics of this small island, except a small tear in the corner of my eye on every July 1st (HKSAR Establishment Day)

On the other side of the world, Independence Day, or 4th July seems to be celebrated on a much happier note. On Sunday I was invited down to Christopher’s, one of the best American restaurants in London, for a little pre-4th July celebration dinner!

The dinner started off with a choice of two special drinks from their special Independence-week menu (3rd July – 7th July), The Patriot and the non-alcoholic The Trump Card.

The Trump Card (cranberry and lime juice, Grenadine, fresh promegrante).

The dishes arrived one-by-one and filled one table and onto another, the colours so vibrant like a firework display! (See the captions for dish names and descriptions.)

Christopher’s has always had a good reputation for delicious food, and this time my mind was blown away again from the presentation to each and every bite (and the portion size!). My personal favourite was the Scallop Ceviche for its light, fresh flavours.

The desserts. Oh the desserts. Hearty, fudgy and ooey-gooey-ly American, fit for 4th July.
